Snakes, parrots, and spiders, oh my!? These are just a few of the many exotic pets that people around the country are beginning to take a liking to.? However, these are animals that were not meant to be tamed, and they never will be tamed.
Cats and dogs should be the only pets that the average person owns.? The rest of the animal kingdom should be left to zookeepers and such people to be domesticated.? It takes thousands of years to domesticate an animal to the point where it will be fully obedient.
Take for example the boa constrictor, which has been a wild creature since the beginning of time. It is now being set loose into the Florida Wildland by irresponsible pet owners. This is because the owners begin to fear the large pythons as they continue to grow larger.? There are stories of these types of snakes swallowing up their owners and nobody knowing where the deceased person disappeared to.
The parrot is another prime example of a free creature who lives in the jungle, not penned up inside a small cage with its wings having been clipped. Tarantulas are also rather popular among the exotic pets owned in recent times, however these are some of the most feared creatures in the world.? People who find joy in watching a tarantula eat a small insect are the same people who find joy in watching small children being devoured by man eating tigers.? This is not a trait that most people would like to familiarize themselves with. At my house, we only have two pets, the generic cat and dog, which is what everyone who wants a pet should receive.? Although, when I was a young lad, we did own two small lizards which were quickly eaten up by our cat.? This is just another reason, of the many, that people should not own exotic pets.? People must think about their own safety as well as the safety of their pets when deciding which animal they wish to be soul mates with for the rest of that pet?s life.
