A new trailer for Irrational Games first person shooter Bioshock Infinite has been released today through the game?s Official Facebook page. Set in 1912, Bioshock introduced a new gameplay experience with an entirely new location, an immense city in the sky called Columbia. The choice to use the Bioshock name together with a new location was to shock the player into discovering more of the new setting while keeping the creative use of tools and abilities typical of the Bioshock franchise; the use of ?Infinite? in the game?s title seems appropriate, since developers wanted to expand beyond the boundaries of the Bioshock concept. There also have been some issues during the long development time: the game was first announced more than two years ago and since then some important staffers have left the studio and supposedly some multiplayer modes have been cut. The development team also had some challenges to overcome, like the Skyline transportation mechanic and the development of the sidekick Elizabeth which part of the team wanted to cut at some point. Because of all these problems the game has been delayed twice with now a confirmed February 23rd 2013 release date. The Trailer showcases a few cutscenes snippets and some seconds of gameplay. From what can be seen from the trailer the most prominent change from conceptual artworks is that the characters look less ?cartoony? Bioshock Infinite will be available from February 23rd with two special editions for Ps3, XBox360 and Pc
