Find Your New Job: What is the difference between pharmacy tech ...

Question by Mansfields Greatest: What is the difference between pharmacy tech and CNA (certified nursing assistant)? both courses are offered at my school and i asked my teacher which one i should take and she wasn't to much of a big help. i would like to work in a hospital as a diagnostician or if you have seen the show house something of their occupation. If not maybe a pharmacist and that is a big maybe. Which is more rigorous. Just asking * i'm already taking 3 AP classes so i can handle it though. Pls and thank you Best answer:

The Pharmacy Tech program is far more academically rigorous. The CNA course will teach you basic patient care skills such as vital signs and assisting patients with activities of daily living (eating, bathing, toileting needs). Most CNA's work in nursing homes, so with your career goals, I would recommend the Pharmacy Tech plan or take an EMT course if available.
