Mr. Sakuji Tanaka, a Japanese, President of Rotary International, a global service organization is a on a three day maiden visit to Hyderabad in India. He has assumed office recently in a international Rotary Convention held in Bangkok.
During his stay in the city he will address International Zonal Conference christened Namaste Hyderabad organised by Rotary Institute. It will be attended by 800 plus top level Rotary Delegates from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakisthan and Bhutan. They include Rotary District Governors, Past Governors, Directors and other top brass.
The top brass of Rotary will descend to city for the first time in the last 24years. They include two out of three Indians who became Rotary International President. They include Kalyan Banerjee, Rajendra K. Saboo. The Rotary Folundation Trustee, Antonio Halage, Ashok Mahajan, Rotary International Director Yash Pal Das, Shekha Mehta and others. This conference is slated to be held on 22nd at HICC.
On his arrival on 21st, Sakuji Tanaka will distribute 10,000 School Dual Desks at Hitex Grounds. These desks are distributed free of cost with the support of The Rotary Founation and Rotarian Pekka Pietilainen- District Governor of Rotary District 1400, Rotarian Bob Stowell District Governor of District 5950 and Rotarian John Dodd, District Governor of District 9680. This distribution function will be graced by D. Purandeswari, Minister of State for Commerce, Government of India and Nadendla Manohar, Speaker of A.P Legislative Assembly.
500 Tricyles, 325 Sewing Machines will be distributed on 23rd and 24th November at Hitex in city.
